Shreya Sampath is a sophomore at The George Washington University studying economics and international affairs. She is interested in exploring the impact of AI on civil rights and democracy, both in the U.S. and globally. As the Director of U.S. chapters at Encode Justice, she oversees initiatives across over 20 chapters nationwide, focusing on privacy, surveillance, competition, and AI policy. Beyond her role at Encode Justice, Shreya is dedicated to community service, particularly in promoting diversity, civic engagement, and voting rights. In her free time, she loves visiting art museums, sampling different coffee blends, and enjoying live music.
